MRI Thanksgiving Challenge: BE More, DO Less Screens
The holiday season can be stressfulâbut hereâs the perfect present you can give yourself and those around you: being present, over presents.
And my gift to you? This mindful exerciseâbecause being present is power.
Hereâs what youâll need:
â A piece of paper
â A pen or pencil
â An open mind
Your 3-Step Mindful Relationship with Information Exercise:
1ď¸âŁ Create an Affirmation
Start with I AM. Example: I AM protecting my emotions this Thanksgiving by being present.
2ď¸âŁ Set an Intention
Start with I WILL. Example: I WILL notice screens and choose presence over scrolling.
3ď¸âŁ Observe & Reflect
Be the I KNOW observer. Jot down what you noticeâyour feelings, your reactions, and what you might want to change.

A Personal Note:
When I started my own MRI practiceâand even with my clientsâwe sometimes lost the pen, the paper, or even the focus. But with purpose and intention, we always found our way back and finished the activity. Thatâs the beauty of mindfulness: itâs not about perfection, itâs about presence.
