MRI Thanksgiving Challenge: BE More, DO Less Screens

The holiday season can be stressful—but here’s the perfect present you can give yourself and those around you: being present, over presents.

And my gift to you? This mindful exercise—because being present is power.


Here’s what you’ll need:


✅ A piece of paper

✅ A pen or pencil

✅ An open mind


Your 3-Step Mindful Relationship with Information Exercise:


1️⃣ Create an Affirmation

Start with I AM. Example: I AM protecting my emotions this Thanksgiving by being present.


2️⃣ Set an Intention

Start with I WILL. Example: I WILL notice screens and choose presence over scrolling.


3️⃣ Observe & Reflect

Be the I KNOW observer. Jot down what you notice—your feelings, your reactions, and what you might want to change.

A Personal Note:


When I started my own MRI practice—and even with my clients—we sometimes lost the pen, the paper, or even the focus. But with purpose and intention, we always found our way back and finished the activity. That’s the beauty of mindfulness: it’s not about perfection, it’s about presence.
